Trading hours within the City of Bunbury are deregulated for general retail shops.
This means that retailers are able to determine their trading hours, but will be required to remain closed on Christmas Day, Good Friday and Anzac Day.
All shops are regarded as general retail shops, unless they fall under any one of the other store type categories: small retail shops, special retail shops and service stations.
Small retail shops, special retail shops and service stations are able to trade 24 hours a day, seven days a week, every day of the year.
To trade as a small or special retail shop, you must apply for a certificate through the Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety.
