On 10 May 2024 a tornado caused severe damage in Withers, South Bunbury, College Grove, and surrounding areas. Just three weeks later, on 1 June, a second severe storm passed through Koombana Bay, East Bunbury, Glen Iris, and Picton.
The storms caused a large amount of damage to homes and businesses, with 20 buildings earmarked for demolition between the two events and many more requiring extensive repairs.
Recovery from natural disasters is a time-consuming process. The City of Bunbury, in partnership with other agencies, is actively supporting the community’s recovery from the storms.
Help is available for all those who were impacted by the storm. Please use the information below to find out who can best support your needs.
