The Bunbury Public Library and Withers Community Library have meeting rooms available for use by community groups and commercial entities.

Room Hire Booking Process
Step 1: Confirm room availability via phone or email. Note: All rooms are available for use during library opening hours only.
Step 2: Complete the room application form below, ensuring all sections are completed including; room preferences, contact details, business details including ABN / NFP details, and the purpose of the room hire. Incomplete applications will be rejected.
Step 3: Once your application form has been received staff will respond to your request in writing by the close of business the following business day to confirm your booking and any fees or charges applicable. Staff will accommodate your request based on availability at the time of receiving your completed application.
Cancellations: To avoid charges, please advise staff as soon as possible (minimum 48 hours notice required).

- Kitchenette – including sink, kettle, full size fridge and microwave. Refreshments available upon request – fees apply.
- Furniture: 7 x medium tables, 1 x presenters table, 1 x entry table and 26 chairs.
- Located off to the left of the library foyer.

- All rooms are available for use during library opening hours only, which includes any set up and pack down. Entry into or extended stays outside of library opening hours is not permitted. Earliest access to any meeting room is 9am to commence setting up.
- Rooms are to be cleaned and vacated prior to the nominated finishing time, this is the responsibility of the hirer.
- All bookings will attract a hire fee in accordance with the City of Bunbury’s 2024-2025 Fees and Charges. These charges are set by the City of Bunbury Council and are non-negotiable.
- Free Wi-Fi is available on your own device.
- Public computers, printing /scanning facilities are available in the library – fees may apply.
- Our libraries are fully accessible including an internal lift at the Bunbury location.
- Applicants must be over 18 years of age.
- Tentative bookings are valid for 48 hours only. Please confirm or cancel the booking within 48 hours.
- Regular bookings can be made for a maximum of six months in advance. A new application will need to be submitted near the end date to apply for additional bookings.
- Bookings will only be accepted via receiving the approved Library Room Hire Application Form and any changes must be received in writing. Incomplete applications will be rejected.
- Each application will be reviewed and applicable charges will be advised in writing to the applicant.
- Rooms are to be cleaned and furniture left as per rooms original configuration prior to the nominated finish time. Cleaning charges may apply if rooms are not cleaned / not left as per the rooms specified furniture configuration.
- A kitchenette area is available for use in the Activity Room at Bunbury and the Community Activity Room at Withers Library. You may bring your own catering alternatively we can supply light refreshments (fees apply). The kitchenette and dishes must be cleaned by the end time of your event.
- Room hire payment is due prior to or on the day of the room hire and may be paid by way of invoice, cash or EFTPOS.
- As a Regular Hirer (11 times or more per year) you must have current insurance cover for public liability. A certified copy will need to be provided upon application. Failure to do so will result in the City of Bunbury revoking hire agreement. As a Casual Hirer (10 times or less per year) you are covered under the City of Bunbury’s Casual Users Liability Insurance. Please note: this excludes incorporated bodies.
- Confirmation of approved bookings will be provided in writing prior to the booking date with any additional terms and conditions which may be specific to the booking.
- The full dollar value (or hours for not for profit organisations/community groups) will be charged or hours deducted if less than 48 hours notice is given for cancellation of the room booking.
- Not for profit organisations will receive 50 hours free room hire per financial year upon acceptance of their NFP status. A reduced rate of hire fees will apply thereafter. The full amount of hours will be deducted from your balance if less than 48 hours notice is given for cancellation of the booking.
