Skyfest 2025 returns to Bunbury's Koombana Bay on Sunday 26 January 2025 with an exciting array of events and activities!

This event forms part of our Summer Lovin' program and will take place at Koombana Bay in collaboration with local businesses. Featuring live music, food trucks, markets, Strongperson competition, beach activities and of course an impressive fireworks display to light the night sky.
The Mayor's Citizenship Awards and the annual breakfast will kickstart the day of festivities beginning at 6.30am at Bicentennial Square.
Not to mention an impressive line up of events happening throughout the day along Koombana Foreshore, Koolambidi Woola and Koombana North.
The evening festivities kick off at 4pm as well as an outdoor broadcast by Hit95.7. At 8.30pm it will be time to look up for the fireworks display - set to be our biggest and most impressive yet.

The Skyfest fireworks show (Brought to you by Spudshed – coming soon to Bunbury Forum) with Hit 95.7 broadcast will begin at 8:30pm launching from the end of Jetty Road.
There will be a Full Exclusion Zone on Sunday 26 January from 6pm to 9.30pm.
Jetty Road will be closed to traffic from 10am Saturday 25 January to 12pm Monday 27 January.
There are so many amazing viewpoints for the fireworks from Boulters Heights, the Cut, Grand Canals and more. We encourage you to explore these locations.
The fireworks can be noisy and overwhelming for some people – we encourage you to bring earplugs or headphones to wear during the fireworks show if this applies to yourself or someone you know.

- A free event Shuttle Bus service will be available from Bunbury Forum (Strickland Street side stop) and Bunbury Bus Station to Koombana Foreshore.
- Getting to Koombana Foreshore: Shuttles will operate between Bunbury Forum and Bunbury Bus Station to the event from 3.30pm every 10 minutes until the last service at 8.10pm
- Getting from Koombana Foreshore after fireworks: Shuttles will operate from the event area to Bunbury Bus Station and Bunbury Forum until 9.55pm every five to 10 minutes.
- Bus Services – Park and ride with bus services running from Dalyellup, Eaton, Australind, Carey Park and Bunbury Forum, with free travel to and from Bunbury.
- Getting to Bunbury by bus: The below service routes will be running on a normal Sunday timetable to support you in getting into the Bunbury Bus Station, where you can then jump on an event shuttle bus to Koombana Foreshore.
- Australind | Route 841 plus additional service departing Travers Drive near Paris Rd at 5:28 and Kingston at 6.24pm
- Eaton/Millbridge | Routes 844, 845 plus additional 845 service departing Kingston at 6.38pm
- Dalyellup | Route 843 plus additional services departing Norton Prom at 5.45pm and 6.45pm
- Bunbury | Routes 827 , 828, 829, 830, 832 plus additional 828, 829 and 832 services departing South West Health Campus at 6:40pm (828), 7:10pm (829) and 6:00pm (832)
- Leaving Bunbury CBD: Additional services will operate post-event to support you in getting home. The below service routes and times will all leave from the Bunbury Bus Station:

- Event shuttle bus accessible stop (suitable for wheelchair users and parents with pram due to installed ramps and matting.
- Special event ACROD parking will be available at Symmons Street Carpark (next to Rivers – 31 Symmons Street, Bunbury). Bays will be limited and monitored, please present an ACROD sticker to the event parking marshal to utilise this parking area. Event patrons can then access the Shuttle bus service from Bunbury Bus Station.

Koombana Drive will be closed from Blair Street/Casuarina Drive to Austral Parade from 3.30pm to 10pm.
Jetty Road past the moorings/pens to allow for the fireworks exclusion zone.
There will be a Full Exclusion Zone on Sunday 26 January from 6pm to 9.30pm. Jetty Road will be closed to traffic from 10am Saturday 25 January to 12pm Monday 27 January.
Please plan ahead.
To ensure the safety of all attendees:
- 7:00 PM – 9:15 PM: The area marked in red will be a full exclusion zone.
- Vessels will not be permitted to transit, anchor, or moor in this zone.
- Swimming and water skiing are prohibited during this time.
- Anchoring is allowed in Bunbury Water outside the exclusion zone and navigable channels.
- Skippers are advised to:
- Be aware of available water depths.
- Monitor their radios on 27Mhz channel 88 and VHF channel 16.
