Join a yarning circle with the talented artist Graham (Swag) Taylor and curator of Noongar Country, Candice Nannup, as they explore stories and art making from a unique South West Indigenous perspective, reflecting on mission life and connection to Country. This in-person event promises to be an opportunity to connect and learn in a meaningful way.

About the artist
Graham (Swag) Taylor, a Noongar artist born in 1955 in Merredin, is known for his evocative landscapes, portraits, and depictions of childhood memories. Taylor began painting in his teens, later learning from artists in Fremantle Prison. His paintings, often exploring themes of identity, trauma, and place, have been exhibited nationally and internationally, including in New York and Perth. He won the Worsley Alumina Indigenous Art Acquisition Award in 2008 and was shortlisted for the 25th Telstra NATSIAA. Taylor's work is held in major collections and continues to honour the legacy of Noongar art.
