A NAIDOC Week Breakfast Barbecue is being hosted by the City of Bunbury to kick off NAIDOC Week - all are welcome to attend.

The City of Bunbury is proud to support NAIDOC Week 2024 and encourages the community to do the same as we celebrate and recognise the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

In Goomburrup (Bunbury) we have a strong and proud First Nations community, and while we have a long way to go, we are committed to continuing our reconciliation journey.

There will be a number of events, workshops and celebrations across Bunbury during NAIDOC Week, which runs from Sunday 7 July through to 14 July.

This year’s NAIDOC Week theme – Keep the Fire Burning! Blak, Loud and Proud – celebrates the unyielding spirit of our communities and invites everyone to stand in solidarity and amplify voices.

Through our collective efforts, we can forge a future where the stories, traditions, and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities are cherished and celebrated, enriching the fabric of the nation with the oldest living culture in the world ~ National NAIDOC Committee

We continue our reconciliation journey with a vision of achieving genuine reconciliation in our communities through strong relationships, recognition of traditional land owners and celebration of our rich cultural diversity and history.

We cannot wait to celebrate NAIDOC Week 2024 with the community.
