Published 24 February 2025

Learn how to perform an easy home energy audit and simple tips you can implement to save money on your power bills and reduce energy use.

The City of Bunbury is participating in Switch Your Thinking's Energy Efficiency Pilot Program. The program aims to support residents and local small to medium businesses by providing access to relevant, accessible energy efficiency education (such as home energy audit kits) to influence behaviour change and result in reduced energy use and cost.

Switch Your Thinking is holding a series of online workshops to equip you with the knowledge to save money on your bills and improve your home's energy efficiency.

The City will be hosting a screening of the live online workshop on Thursday, 27 March, in the Admin Building's Function Room. Enjoy nibbles from 5:30pm and explore the new Home Energy Audit Kit, which includes a thermal camera, a power monitor, water flow measuring equipment, plus a manual full of instructions and energy-saving tips. The kit will be available for loan from March 2025 at the City of Bunbury Library.

The event is free to attend - registration is required for catering purposes. Please email swheeler@bunbury.wa.gov.au by 24 March to confirm your attendance at the in-person screening.

Can't make it in person? Join an Energy Saving Tips for Households workshop online. Register to receive a link to join the 27 March workshop here or the 8 May workshop here.
