Now in its fifth year, the Bunbury Mental Health Week Ball is a highlight of Bunbury Mental Health Week activities.
Held on the Friday at the conclusion of the week, the event celebrates the achievements of those with a lived experience of mental illness with their carers and loved ones. The ball offers a quality, affordable night out to those affected by mental ill health in a safe and supportive, non-judgmental environment.
It normalises the effects of living with mental illness and reduces the stigma not only to attendees at the event but those involved with the event such as support and catering staff.
The ball is open to anyone in the greater Bunbury area with a lived experience of mental health issues and promoted through all members of the Bunbury Mental Health Week Consortium and their mental health consumers.
This year's theme is Super Heroes and Super Villains and includes supper and entertainment.
This is a no alcohol event supported by the City of Bunbury and Pathways South West.
