The 2023 – 2024 season will see a return of the highly regarded Bunbury City Classic Triathlon with this year’s event to again be held in the protected waters of Bunbury’s Koombana Bay on Sunday February 18th 2024 proudly sponsored by LGM Industries.

This year participants will have three race distances to choose from.

  • Standard distance triathlon of 1.5 km swim, 40 km bike ride and 10 km run.
  • Sprint distance of 750m swim, 20km bike ride and 5km run. (Limited spots available)
  • Enticer distance of 250m swim, 10km bike ride and 2km run.

There will be a Trystars Aquathon event.

The LGM Industries Bunbury City Classic Triathlon course incorporates the pristine and protected beach area of Koombana Bay.

The ocean swim course runs close to the beach, it’s great for spectators who can view from the adjacent boardwalk. The undulating bike course leaves Koombana Bay and runs through the city centre and out along the coastline of Back Beach along Ocean Drive and returning back to Koombana Bay. Once again it’s a fantastic experience for riders and spectators alike.

This year’s new run course runs along the Leschenault estuary and adjacent to the bike course on the pedestrian path taking in great views of Bunbury to a turn point, returning to go over the walk bridge, through the Bunbury waterfront area and out on to the new Bunbury Jetty to its end and then back to the transition area at Koombana Bay to a turn point and then repeat the course for the 10kms.

The event will be apart of the State Standard Distance and Junior State Series.
