The City’s annual Grant Program is aimed at activating Bunbury as a premier destination for culture and creativity for people to connect, and includes the categories below aligning with key themes in the City’s Strategic Community Plan.
Active Places
The purpose of this category is to bring the community together focusing on safety, belonging and
strengthening the connection between people and the places they share.
Community Connect
The purpose of this category is to create a highly-engaged community to participate
in a wide range of opportunities that make them feel welcomed and connected.
Signature Events
The purpose of this category is to promote Bunbury as a thriving and premier
destination for significant events, driving people to come visit Bunbury and spend time
in the region.
2024/2025 Grant Rounds
Round 2 of the Grant program will open late October for applications to Community Connect and Signature Events. The round will close on 5 December at 11am.
The Active Places grant category has now closed as all funds have been expended for 2024/25 year.
Active Places will reopen mid-2025 for the future 2025/26 funding year.
The City of Bunbury uses an online grant application service powered by SmartyGrants. To apply online visit Smarty Grants and register an account. Before submitting a proposal, applicants should be familiar with the grant guidelines relevant to the category in which they are applying. Please be advised that applications which do not meet the closing dates or eligibility criteria will not be assessed.
