As part of the latest upgrades to access points along our beautiful coastline, work is set to start soon on a brand-new staircase with dual lookout and seating platforms at Ocean Drive, opposite Ramillies Street.
The project will replace the existing pine steps with a beautiful wooden staircase, featuring an upper lookout for easy access and seating areas at both the top lookout and middle platform.
During this period, this beach access will be temporarily closed, and traffic management will be in place to ensure safe pedestrian movement. The nearest alternative beach access is at Hastie Street, just 350 metres south.
