A new road will be built between Jacaranda Crescent and Hudson Road, and works will also include relocation of sewer and water connections adjacent to the Withers Library along with street lighting.
Three new connector roads linking Davenport Way and Rand Court, Hooper and Stallard places, and Mawson Place and Reynolds Way will also be built.
Both projects are part of the Withers Regional Renewal Project, which is grant funded by the Department of Communities with contributions from the City.
The aim of the renewal project is to support social housing revitalisation and improve community safety, access and connectivity.
Local business Carbone Bros. has been chosen to undertake both road projects with works expected to be completed by the end of the year.
The City is excited to be part of the Withers revitalisation, which includes construction recently starting on the State Government’s $5 million transformation at Maidens Reserve.
