Winner: Bunbury Turf Club, with Artists Shakey and Art by Destroy

This award is presented to the Bunbury Turf Club and artists for its racing mural on the corner of Blair Street and Brittain Road in Carey Park. The work represents the industry in recognition of the Club’s 150th anniversary and is aligned with the site's $23m track redevelopment project. It showcases the long-term connection to Bunbury and the South West. To complete the works, the Turf Club commissioned two talented artists in Shakey and Art by Destroy to activate the corner of the site for the public. Congratulations to the Bunbury Turf Club and artists on representing the journey of the Club’s establishment in 1874 and its rich history of thoroughbred racing in Bunbury and the South West.

We would also like to give a shoutout to all nominees for their contributions to preserving and promoting Bunbury’s heritage!
