Published 21 May 2024, updated 16 June 2024

Celebrate the book launch of a new biography of Thomas Campbell Carey, Bunbury resident, surveyor and politician.

Join us to escape the winter weather and hear from seasoned storytellers and experts sharing the lesser-known tales of Bunbury’s histories with our Winter Warmer program.

Our presenter for this session is Rod Quin.

Date: Sunday 16 June 2024

Time: 1:30pm to 2:30pm

Free entry, RSVPs via Eventbrite are encouraged.

Carey was a controversial figure who inspired strong loyalties and strong antagonisms in nineteenth century Bunbury and surrounding areas. He was the victim of assault, defendant in a libel case, critic of the Forrest brothers and opponent of the pastoral 'squattocracy'.
