He also owns two other thriving businesses – the Pavilion (another nighttime hot spot) and 62-Thirty Café and Bar at Koombana Foreshore.
Glen has been a Bunbury local for the past 23 years and says Bunbury is a great place to live and a great place to do business.
During that time he has got to know the locals, witnessing the different generations coming through the doors at Fitzy’s and getting to know the children of the parents he once welcomed to the bar.
Establishing spaces where all are welcome and feel safe has always been at the forefront of Glen’s mind and he puts his success down to continuously pivoting and changing to cater to what the locals want.
He also believes in working hard and forging connections with customers, really getting to know them.
The café is Glen’s newest venture and he seized the opportunity to take over the business in what he calls an "iconic location" aiming to create something wonderful for all to enjoy, particularly families.
He is looking at expanding the café’s offerings to include a dinner menu allowing diners to grab a bite to eat or a beverage while watching the sun set over the ocean.
Glen believes there is a lot to offer in Bunbury that the tourism market is just starting to uncover.
He notes the cappuccino strip, Dolphin Discovery Centre and dolphins as drawcards to the city he calls home.
“Everything is so close”, said Glen.
“We have all the amenities we need.”
