Wilman, Ballardong Noongar woman and author Isobel Bevis, will be leading a fun and engaging reading of her debut bilingual children's book, Nedingar: Ancestors, followed by activities inspired by the story. Children (and parents) are invited to join a unique experience of exploring and practicing their newly learned vocabulary and complete an artwork to take home.
This in-person event promises to be a special experience for children aged 5-12 and their parents - one that you won't want to miss!
When: Wednesday 16 April, 10.30 - 11.30am
Cost: Free, however registrations are essential due to limited spaces.

About the author
Isobel is Wilman, Ballardong Noongar woman born and raised in Collie, south-west of Western Australia, with strong family connections in WA. Raised in a large Noongar family, growing up on Wilman Boodja listening to stories and learning culture and language from her Kabarli (Nana). With a Masters in Aboriginal Languages and a degree in teaching, including Noongar language, Isobel is enthusiastic about sharing her cultural knowledge with students, educators and the community. Her debut bilingual children's book, Nedingar: Ancestors, was awarded the Wilderness Society 2024 Karajia Award and shortlisted for the Speech Pathology Australia 2024 Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Children’s Book Award.
