Curator Talk | Some Like It Hot

Gain insight into one of the exhibitions currently on display at BRAG with this special curator talk delivered by Some Like It Hot curator, Wendy Garden.

Travelling from Darwin, Wendy will share her experience working with two of the Northern Territory’s most respected artists: Franck Gohier and Therese Ritchie, and how she curated Some Like It Hot - an exhibition that intersects sweat, sex, desire and discord in Darwin, Australia’s hottest and most remote capital city.

WENDY GARDEN is the Assistant Director of Access and Engagement at the Library & Archives Northern Territory. She is an independent curator and held the curatorial position of the Australian Art Curator at the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory. She holds a doctorate in art history from the University of Melbourne and a Master of Arts Research degree. Her writing and research interests focus on contemporary Australian art and photography. Previously Senior Curator at the Mornington Peninsula Regional Gallery in Victoria, Garden has over twenty years of experience curating exhibitions including solo artist retrospectives, group shows and touring exhibitions.
