Hastie Street beach access revamp

The stairs to Bunbury’s Back Beach near Hastie Street are set to be revamped as part of the latest upgrades to access points along our beautiful coastline.

Works have begun with the aged stairs to be removed and replaced with a new wooden staircase similar to the popular Mangles Street structure.

The new staircase will include a handrail for added convenience, with a total 77 steps winding down to the beach and top and middle viewing decks along with seating.

Construction is due to be completed by 30 June 2024.
