Pour a cuppa and brainstorm actions and ideas on one of our community’s biggest priorities – sustainability and climate change.

Happening this month, café style workshops will aim to help capture the community’s ideas and aspirations for improving environmental sustainability within Bunbury.

The City of Bunbury is hosting two Sustainability Community Cafés and the community is invited to attend and provide input to help inform the development of the City’s new Sustainability and Environmental Strategy.

This new strategy will provide a roadmap for improving the environmental sustainability and resilience of City operations and our community, in line with the City’s Strategic Community Plan.

The community café sessions, being held 24 and 26 October at Stirling Street Arts Centre, will see participants workshop ideas on real actions when it comes to sustainability.

These actions will align to the key sustainability priority areas identified by our community through the City’s Sustainability Priorities for the City Survey completed earlier this year.

Topics that will be covered during the workshops include energy, water, waste and resources, greenspaces and biodiversity and climate resilience and transport.

The 24 October workshop will be an evening session from 5.30pm to 7.30pm, while the 26 October workshop will be held 10am to 12pm.

RSVPs are essential via the City’s Community Connect page below.
