How You Can Help

Clean Up Australia Day

The City currently supports residents and community groups to clean up their local area in the annual Clean Up Australia campaign, or clean up events throughout the year, to proactively address and raise awareness of the impacts of littering and illegal dumping.

The City supports registered participants by collecting bags of litter from nominated locations.

Adopt-a-Spot

The City has partnered with the Keep Australia Beautiful (KABC) in support of the Adopt-a-Spot program through a memorandum of understanding. Individuals, community groups, businesses or school communities can volunteer with the Adopt-a-Spot program and contribute to a cleaner environment. Participants receive free resources to help, insurance cover if you need it and an Adoption Certificate.

The resources such as gloves, bags, sharps containers are provided in bulk to the City and we distribute them to participants on sign up to the program.
