The City of Bunbury owns and operates a facility for e-waste and household hazardous waste. This facility is located at 21 McCombe Road, Davenport. The centre is open from 10.30am to 2.30pm Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

Acceptable Household Hazardous Waste Items

  • oil – cooking, household and auto
  • coolant and antifreeze
  • batteries – car and household
  • brake and transmission fluid
  • chemicals – pool and garden
  • kitchen and bathroom cleaners
  • flammable liquids
  • gas bottles – all types
  • fluorescent tubes and globes(including compact fluoros (CFLs)
  • pesticides, herbicides and fungicides
  • paint – all types
  • signal flares
  • fire extinguishers
  • acids
  • solvents and glue
  • aerosol cans – full/part full
  • paint stripper
  • ammonia based cleaners
  • pool chemicals and containers

Acceptable E-waste Items

  • Computers and equipment — hard drives, monitors, towers, mouse , keyboards, scanners, laptops
  • Televisions (analogue, digital, LCD, flat screens)
  • Non-gassed white goods (microwaves, washing machines and dryers)
  • DVD, CD and VHS players
  • Computer game consoles
  • Stereos
  • Phones – mobile and landline
  • Vacuum cleaners
  • Sewing machines
  • Fans
  • Cameras and camcorders
  • Electric organs and keyboards

Unacceptable E-waste Items

  • Gassed white goods (fridges, freezers and air conditioners we can accept de-gassed)
  • Commercial and industrial electronic waste
