The City of Bunbury assist the community and the building industry to ensure the legislative requirements are achieved in accordance with the Building Act 2011, Building Regulations 2012 and Local Laws.
We process all certified applications (BA1) within 10 working days, all uncertified applications (BA2 forms) within 25 workings days.
BA1 Building Permit Application – Certified
You will need to obtain the BA3 Certificate of Design Compliance from a registered Private Building Surveyor. The Building Surveyor will determine if the building works comply with the National Construction Code, prior to providing the BA3 Certificate of Design Compliance.
Note: Additional approvals may be required prior to lodging the BA1 Certified Application, including Development Approval.

BA2 Building Permit Application – Uncertified
The City of Bunbury registered Building Surveyor is to determine if the building works comply with the National Construction Code, prior to providing the BA3 Certificate of Design Compliance.
If we need further information to process your application, you will have up to 21 calendar days to provide any outstanding information.
Note: Additional approvals may be required prior to the Building Permit being granted

Application fees will be required to be paid during this online process to the application being submitted to Building & Compliance.
Please note this service is only for BA1 Building Permit Applications and BA2 Building Permit Applications.
