The Oceania: Distance and Diversity exhibition explores the interpretations of distance and or diversity. History, exploration, geography, flora and fauna, landforms, water, culture and influences, lifestyles, communications, tourism, environmental issues and more, the theme challenges the boundaries of quilting, encouraging conversation and dialogue about the use of quilting as an art form.

The exhibition comprises of 29 art quilts made by members of the Studio Art Quilt Associates (SAQA) and challenges the boundaries of quilting, encouraging conversation and dialogue about the use of quilting as an art form travelling to venues throughout New Zealand and Australia.
