NOTICE OF PUBLIC ADVERTISEMENT OF PLANNING PROPOSAL

City of Bunbury is seeking public comment on the following proposal, without prejudice, which is currently under consideration.  Given the value of the development, the application will be determined by the Southern Joint Development Assessment Panel.

PROPOSED BUNBURY FORUM SHOPPING CENTRE DEMOLITION, REDEVELOPMENT AND EXPANSION

132 STRICKLAND STREET BUNBURY

The proposal includes the demolition of approximately 9,400 m2 of the existing development and a proposed redevelopment of the site resulting in a total GLA of 29,989 m2. The expansion plans include a new Woolworths and Woolworths Liquor, two new mini majors, specialty stores, medical centre/gym and a 1,100 seat cinema complex. A new food court and pedestrian entry is proposed to Strickland Street. The proposal seeks a number of variations to Local Planning Scheme No.8 as outlined in the Application Report.
