Festival and event management expert Paul Gudgin will bring his events masterclass to Bunbury for a one-off showcase next month.
In partnership with the City of Bunbury the Bunbury Festival and Event Management Masterclass provides a unique opportunity for event organisers to learn from one of the world’s leading festival and event management experts.
The masterclass is a popular workshop designed to inform and inspire those involved in creating, managing and developing festivals and events.
Practical by design, the course provides specific ideas and examples that participants can put into practice immediately to improve their events.
Gudgin, who has taught festival and event professionals all over the world will provide insight on key aspects of events management including marketing, press engagement, programming, evaluation, sponsorship and fundraising. Gudgin is also the former Director of the famous Edinburgh Fringe.
The past five years has seen a significant increase in events in Bunbury and the City has welcomed a number of freelance event organisers.
Mayor Gary Brennan encouraged local event organisers to attend this exclusive opportunity to learn from one of the best in the business.
“We have welcomed a number of unique events that have added great vibrancy to our City in recent years,” Mayor Brennan said.
“This workshop will ensure the City continues to assist in the development of quality events for both the local community and those visiting Bunbury.”
The masterclass has run successfully in 20 countries worldwide including Australia, Canada, Denmark, Belgium, Estonia, Singapore, Hong Kong, USA, Ireland and Finland.
