About 160 people from Bunbury’s business and wider community attended a successful CBD Planning Forum at the Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre on Wednesday evening.
The event hosted by the City of Bunbury was a chance for people to comment and give feedback on the proposed Civic and Cultural Precinct and 12-month review of the City’s parking strategy as well as share ideas relating to CBD activation.
For those who were unable to attend the forum, the City of Bunbury is now inviting creative and innovative thinkers in our community to do the same via a new online engagement portal.
Social Pinpoint – is now live for the community to use and presents an opportunity for participants to provide the City with their ideas so they can be incorporated into future CBD planning.
The portal includes an interactive map of Bunbury and users will be invited to drag and drop a marker at specific points of interest and provide comment relating to that area.
There is also an ideas wall where users can contribute, collaborate and brainstorm with one another.
Participants are also invited to give their opinion on the current CBD parking strategy.
All content will be published live and visible to all users.
The portal will be accessible to users until Saturday 18 August. The online engagement follows on from Wednesday night’s successful CBD Planning Forum where attendees gave significant comment relating to both the parking strategy and Civic and Cultural Precinct.
Bunbury Mayor Gary Brennan encouraged both City of Bunbury and Bunbury Geographe residents to have their say on both topics.
“The Civic and Cultural Precinct is one of the most significant and exciting projects to be earmarked for the City and in order to get it right we need to hear from the people who live here and also visit here,” Mayor Brennan said.
“We want creative and innovative ideas to help shape the future of this paradise we call home.”
