The City of Bunbury will soon be calling upon the community for its feedback on the draft design of the Youth Precinct.
Creative consultants Playce will be returning to Bunbury next month to unveil a draft design to the community.
The community will be given the opportunity to comment on the design at a series of workshops.
The draft design was formed based on feedback and ideas from the community when Playce visited Bunbury earlier in the month.
Nine local schools including more than 320 students were involved in the consultation and more than 120 people took part in workshops and pop-up events.
Another 151 online survey responses were also recorded and referred to in the design process.
Bunbury Youth Mayor Sean Smith said it was an exciting time for Bunbury and its young people.
“This project milestone brings the Youth Precinct even closer to becoming a reality,” Mr Smith said.
“We can’t wait to see what Playce has come up with based on all the feedback they were given from the community.
“By allowing our young people to have input into the Youth Precinct it ensures the project is exactly what the community wants.”
Playce will host two presentations on Wednesday 16 October at the Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre.
The public will be invited to attend a session at 5pm to 6.30pm while skate park users and enthusiasts will be invited to have their say from 6.30pm to 8pm. People will also have a chance to give feedback online, at CBD pop-up displays and at the City of Bunbury administration building.
Playce will then prepare a final design which will be presented to Council before the end of the calendar year.
