Members of the public are invited to discuss what the future holds for the Bunbury CBD at a community forum on Monday, May 22.
Results of a recent CBD Experience survey conducted by the City of Bunbury will form part of a conversation that is expected to include members of the public, business owners and key stakeholders.
The survey, which was carried out to hear people’s opinions of the Central Business District as part of a strategy to work with the community and business owners to add vibrancy and promote visitation, attracted more than 800 responses.
Bunbury Mayor Gary Brennan said the survey provided some valuable data and information about the publics’ experience with the CBD.
“The responses collected from the survey are providing us with a very good snapshot of why people come into the CBD, what would entice them to visit more often, and even what may keep them away,” Mr Brennan said.
“We are very keen to share these outcomes so all stakeholders – which includes the City, business owners and the community – can work together to ensure we are doing everything we can to create a vibrant, diverse and exciting CBD.”
The forum will be held at the City of Bunbury Function Room on Stephen Street (entrance from Wittenoom Street) from 5.30pm. All are welcome.
